Cancer Relay 2008
Again, our church was well represented in the Canadian Cancer Society's Relay for Life by a team from the Men's Choir. The Relay was held on Saturday, May 31, 2008.
Funds raised at the Relay help the Canadian Cancer Society.
Fund Research on all types of cancer
Provide Information about cancer care and treatment.
Offer Support to people living with cancer.
Prevent Cancer through healthy lifestyles and risk reduction strategies.
Advocate for public policies to reduce the burden of cancer

Of the 49 teams entered in the relay, our team placed third in the amount of monies raised, which was $3200.00. The top fundraiser for the event was Roger Sellars.
Team members appreciate your support in the form of individual sponsorships and for the purchase of a Luminary "in memory of "a loved one or "in honour of" a cancer survivor.

Relay for Life nets almost $90K for cancer research, programs
Steering committee declares this year's event most successful to date
Almost 50 teams took part, raising $88,000, far exceeding the goal set for this year’s relay of $70,000. This year's Relay for Life, which was the sixth one held in Grand Falls-Windsor, not only raised the most money of any relay, but also involved the most teams.
